MP McCauley Opposes Liberal Plan to End Airstrikes Against ISIS

The Liberal Government is out of touch with reality when it comes to the fight against ISIS, Edmonton West MP Kelly McCauley said today.

 

Yesterday, MP McCauley spoke against the Liberal Government’s plan to pull Canada’s CF-18 fighter jets out of the airstrike mission in Syria and Iraq.

 

“This government wants to end airstrikes against ISIS targets. The decision to do so is simply juvenile,” said McCauley.

 

“While this government plans on pulling out our fighter jets, they are sending more Canadian men and women out into the field. This is simply dangerous and potentially deadly. Sending more Canadian boots on the ground to assist with training and humanitarian support, while depleting air power capability, leaves our men and women in uniform vulnerable.”
